Pollinators of British Columbia: A Visual Guide

Pollinators of British Columbia: A Visual Guide is a 34 page booklet providing accessible information to help people of all ages identify common pollinators of B.C.. The guide offers a mix of visual elements including anatomical diagrams, to-scale size charts and high quality photos of over 45 species, along with bite size chunks of descriptive text.

The printed booklet was designed with packability in mind, and is about the size of a large smartphone. The guide book was also created in eBook form, and is available for free here. The categories used in the guide match the categories used in the Insight Citizen Science App, making it the perfect companion for those collecting citizen science data.

This guide book was designed by myself with writing by Erin Udal and Marika van Reeuwyk (Environmental Youth Alliance). Project partners include Border Free Bees, Environmental Youth Alliance, Metro Vancouver, TD Friends of the Environment Foundation, Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, Emily Carr University, Simon Fraser University and University of British Columbia Okanagan.
