Border Free Bees

Between 2015 and 2018 I was the in house Communication Designer and Research Assistant for Border Free Bees, a long-term public art initiative headed by Dr. Cameron Cartiere (Emily Carr University of Art + Design) and Nancy Holmes (The University of British Columbia, Okanagan).

I took on many roles throughout the project including developing the project’s brand identity, website, didactic signage and promotional materials. I helped facilitate over a dozen community engagement workshops and art installations throughout British Columbia, in locations such as Vancouver, Victoria, Kelowna and Richmond. I was also the lead photographer/videographer and documented all aspects of the public art initiative.

I led the Insight Citizen Science app project for Border Free Bees, as a part of my undergrad thesis project at Emily Carr University.
